About Diploma in Dialysis Technician

This program is specifically designed to equip candidates with the necessary skills and knowledge to work in the field of dialysis technology. The 2-year Diploma programme imparts theoretical and practical knowledge on the basics of home dialysis therapy, arteriovenous (AV) shunt, arteriovenous fistula and fistula formation, peritoneal dialysis system, central venous access devices along with other aspects related to Dialysis Technician.

Diploma in Dialysis Technician Eligibility Criteria

• To become a dialysis technician, candidates need to pass their Class 12 board examinations from a recognised board of education such as CBSE, ICSE or State Boards.
• To qualify for the Diploma Program, candidates must have secured a minimum aggregate score of 40% or more in the qualifying examination with compulsory subjects such as Physics and Chemistry and one optional subject from either Mathematics or Biology.

Diploma in Dialysis Technician Admission Process

Diploma in Dialysis Technician programme of India is a two-year diploma course, which is offered from the institutions that are expected to carry out either of the two prominent methods of offering admissions to the paramedical course, i.e. entrance-based or merit-based.

Entrance-Based Admission

• As a candidate you will be required to submit your application, download the appropriate Admit Card or Hall Ticket and appear for the relevant University-level entrance exam.
• Students will be admitted to the best colleges in India based on their performance in the entrance exam, which is conducted by the respective colleges.
• After submitting the admissions application form, the candidate(s) will be called for a personal interview, group discussion, and/or written test.
• An entrance exam is conducted to select students for admission to the course. Based on personal interview, group discussion and overall performance in the entrance exam, students will be shortlisted for admission. • Some universities also conduct counselling sessions after the results of the entrance exams have been released. These help students in selecting their career paths and finding a course best suited for them.
• Given the rankings and scores obtained by students in the entrance exam, candidates will be called for counseling sessions and can select the course and college.
• Prospective candidates will be offered admissions to the course on the basis of the ranks of the candidates, the choice of course selected and the vacancy of seats in the respective course.

• The admission policy of individual colleges may vary, but candidates can be offered Direct Admission to Diploma in Dialysis Technology.
